January General Meeting

We'll be holding our January meeting on Saturday, January 16, at 6:30 PM.

This month, we'll have our annual review of genre television, where Carol and Rosemary talk about what was on the myriad networks and streaming services this year, and what they liked and didn't like.

Also, local author, anthologist, and publisher Sean Demory will be reading for us this month.  Sean writes speculative fiction across the whole spectrum, and is the founder of Pine Float Press.

After our meeting and the above programs, we'll hang out, far into the night, and talk about whatever scintillating topics come to mind...

Seeking Program Ideas


Hi folks, KaCSFFS is looking for ideas for programs for upcoming meetings.

Do you or someone you know have something of interest to SF&F fans that you'd like to present?  For example, are you an author who'd like to read some of your work for the group? (even if you've read for us before, I'll bet we haven't heard it all)  An artist who'd like to show us your art and talk about it?  Do you or someone you know work in a field that a bunch of Science Fiction and Fantasy fans would be interested in hearing about?  Have you been to a destination (A NASA facility, a game store, a museum, one or more of the moons of Saturn) that you could do a presentation on?  Designed or played any new SF or Fantasy games that you'd like to show us?

Currently we're doing our meetings via Zoom, but it will allow you to speak and show slides just like you would in real life.  (Of course, if you have some weird alien artifact or +3 magic object that we can't appreciate without touching it, or feeling its psychic aura, that may not work as well.  But try us anyway.)
